Dear all,

We hope that everyone is enjoying their summer! While we still have a month to go before the next academic year, CUMaS is proud to announce a few events happening next month.

First and foremost, we would like to update everyone on the current status of our ongoing CUMaS Outreach.  Now that we have completed Outreach KL, JB, and Penang, our next two events would be held in Sabah then Melaka. Any form of assistance to the Outreach team would be very much appreciated.

CUMaS is also organising its 20th birthday dinner and would need the final support of everyone to invite Cantabs to come celebrate this event! Do remind your Cambridge alumni friends that they are cordially invited.

More details on the freshers banquet happening on the 7th of September and the CUMSA-CUMaS ski trip are also given below

 1. Outreach Malaysia Update

Thank you everyone for supporting us on our journey around West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia from Penang to KL to JB! Outreach Cambridge 2014 has been quite a success with a record attendance in JB (more than 100!) and our first outreach to Penang island!

We will be having our second last outreach at Kota Kinabalu in September followed by a casual school visit to Melaka on the 3rd-4th week of September! Email us at outreach@cumas.org if you would like to join us for the upcoming outreach events *ahem food trip ahem* to Melaka! Also don’t forget to subscribe to us via facebook.com/cumasociety !

 2. 20th Anniversary Dinner

We have been contacted by few members in Johor and Penang asking if we could arrange accommodation for them in KL right after the dinner. Knowing that some of you might have to abstain from joining due to this issue, we would like to invite members to stay in the committee members’ houses for free or to have a room booked by our alumni officer Wong Sher Lin in Eastin Hotel or somewhere nearby. In any case, feel free to contact secretary@cumas.org and alumni.cumas@gmail.com for accommodation arrangement.
 
I would also like to remind those who have signed up for the dinner to pay as soon as possible to avoid disappointment as places are very limited currently.
 
Also, there will be VIPs consisting of member(s) of parliament, senior executive director(s), committee members of Oxbridge society etc. joining us for this dinner, so please do not miss this golden opportunity if you haven’t sign up. Sign-up deadline is 31/8/14.
