We hope everyone is enjoying what’s left of summer break!
Now is the Cambridge application season, and this year, CUMaS is taking the initiative to conduct mock interviews for applicants who have secured an interview. Do fill up the survey below if interested to conduct a mock interview!
Below are also some updates and details on the Melaka Outreach. Anyone available on the 23rd of September are highly encouraged to attend.
Since summer is coming to an end, we have also provided a link for everyone to provide their flight details.
General reminders and info such as the CUSU freshers fair and ski trip are also briefly mentioned below.

1. Mock Interview
This year, we are hoping to conduct several Mock Interviews over Skype for Malaysian students who have secured interviews with Cambridge. The actual interviews will be conducted in October from 25th Oct to 27th Oct, so we are expecting to do it over the weekend before, when we are already in Cambridge (Michaelmas Term 2-3)
Venue: Your own room in Cambridge, or pre-arranged
Time: TBC (around Oct 11th – 20th)
Format: 1 to 1 or 2 to 1; Academic question + general feedback (based on your own experience and memory)
Expected participants: About 20 (25-30minutes per participant)

2. Melaka Outreach
You don’t think it is the end of the outreach, do you?
We will be organising our final Outreach Melaka on 23rd of September. The details are as follow:
Venue: Lecture room/hall SMJK Yok Bin Melaka
Date : 23rd September Tuesday
Time : 3.00pm – 5.00pm
The target audience are Form 4, Form 5 and Form 6 students and we are inviting the students from all top performing schools in Melaka as well.
If any of you are interested to be a volunteer or just want to taste the nice food of Melaka, please inform Kok Zhi Hao at logistics@cumas.org
3. Flights to UK
Dear all,
We hope you had a great summer in Malaysia/around the World!!
It is the time again for all of us to pack our bag, stock up on malaysian spices, stuff a few more extra socks into the luggage bag and say goodbye to those lovely stuffed toys on the bed…

This is a brief notification that CUMaS will be having a booth at the freshers fair. Do promote our booth and support our society!
b. Ski Trip
Interested to go on a ski trip? Come join us this Winter Break!
Number of spots available: 15 pax (shared with CUMSA)
Duration: 7 days
