Just like that, another academic year has come and gone. Those of you that are graduating will undoubtedly be missed, and we wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavours. For the rest of us that aren’t graduating, we have another year of sweat, tears and coffee to look forward to as we re-engage tripos in another epic battle that the bards will sing about for decades to come.  1. Malaysian Medical Student Summit

Dear CUMaS,

Below is a message from Malaysian Medics International regarding their upcoming flagship event: the Malaysian Medical Student Summit(MMSS).

First and foremost, thank you for your time and kind consideration. I am Jacie Law Jiaqi, a second year Malaysian medical student from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and am currently holding the position of International Publicity Director of the 2015 MMSS Summit Council. This upcoming Malaysian Medical Student Summit is proudly organized by the Malaysian Medics International (MMI) – a student-led organization thataims to unite and connect Malaysian medical students all over the world, serving to familiarize them with the healthcare scene back in Malaysia. The 2015 Malaysian Medical Student Summit will take place this summer on the 1st and 2nd of August and aims to achieve a target audience size of 1000 Malaysian medical students, pursuing their degrees all over the world. Thus, it is with great pleasure that we invite all overseas Malaysian medical students and societies based in various medical universities in different countries to join us back home this summer for this summit.

The details of the summit are as follows:

Date: 1st and 2nd of August 2015 (Saturday and Sunday)
Time: 8.00am to 5.00pm
Venue: University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur
Registration fee: RM70.00

The summit is the largest of its kind in Malaysia, with students coming in from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Russia, Taiwan, Egypt and many more countries. It will undoubtedly serve to benefit all Malaysian medical students, whether or not they plan to return to Malaysia to train and practise. This summit aims to connect medical students from around the world, educating them on key issues in public health and medical research, as well as cultivating a sense of camaraderie and purpose amongst medical students.

Shell Malaysia is organising a 1 day “Summer Camp” in Menara Shell, KL on the 1st of Aug 2015 (Saturday). The objective of this Summer Camp is for you to get to know Shell’s Recruitment process, Business leaders and Shell Graduates better.
