21st February 2016
Dear CUMaS,
We’re nearing the end of our terms as the committee of CUMaS, and we’d like to thank you all for your support throughout the past year. It has certainly been an honour and a pleasure serving as your committee and we hope that our successors will bring CUMaS to even greater heights! Please remember to come to our AGM on the 6th of March to vote for next year’s committee. We hope that you will enjoy watching our MNight as much as we enjoyed practising for it; we promise you won’t be disappointed!

3. CIMB Insight into ASEAN Markets
The Cambridge University Finance and Investment Society is pleased to announce that Dato’ Seri Nazir Razak, the Chairman of CIMB Group, will be delivering a talk, “Insight into ASEAN Markets”, on the 3rd of March!
This is an unmissable opportunity to hear from one of the most influential investment bankers in Asia Pacific in the last decade, and would be immensely valuable for anyone with an interest in the South East Asian financial markets. There will also be a Q&A session after the talk.
CIMB Group is the largest Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) based investment bank, with over 41,000 employees located in 17 countries. Nazir Razak completed his MPhil in Development Economics at Pembroke College, Cambridge, and served as the CEO of CIMB Group from 1999 to 2014 before becoming the Chairman.

Date: 3rd March
Time: 7pm

4. Perdana Fellowship
Hello all! My name is Samuel Goh and I’m a fourth year medical student at Christ’s. Last summer I did the Perdana Fellowship. It’s one of the most prestigious fellowships in Malaysia, where you have the opportunity to shadow a minister of your choice (even the Prime Minister!) for 6 weeks to 3 months. This fellowship gives you a chance to meet some of the most important people in the public and private sector, gain insight into how the Malaysian government works, and help draft real public policies. Also, it’s a definite plus on your CV!
I’ll be hosting a casual dinner session where those of you interested can come by, say hi, and ask any questions you have regarding the application and the experience. I’ll contact each of you individually regarding the best time to meet. I should also mention that it’ll be subsidised RM500 so at the very least, look forward to that if you’re interested, fill in the Google form below: http://goo.gl/forms/tsUcay7L8U
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Samuel Goh
