2a. Setting up an English Summer Camp in Malaysia

OSCA (Oxbridge Summer Camps Abroad) is a non-profit, non-commercial, entirely student run organisation that takes students from Oxford and Cambridge to to teach English at summer camps designed to help the local community. Last year we ran successful camps in China, Hong Kong and Japan. For more information about OSCA check out www.oscaonline.org.uk.There will be an information evening on the 16th November for those looking to volunteer with us during the summer of 2011!

Our Development Director, Lewis, is seeking opportunities to expand the OSCA project in to new locations. We need assistance from those of you who may be able to introduce us to some schools or educational organisations in Malaysia. This would most likely be in schools where English is part of the curriculum but students are not fluent. Helping us to set up a new camp would enable us to improve the English skills of children in the area and would no doubt score you some handy CV points!

If you think you may be able to help us please email lw398@cam.ac.uk
