1. Malaysian Food Fest MFF
The epic Malaysian Food Fest (MFF) is finally upon us and only a day away! With food ranging from those cooked by the committee (yup that’s us!) and some having been catered aaalllll the way from London, you are promised a scrumptious feast! With the menu consisting of Satay (barbecued chicken meat on skewers), Nasi Lemak (rice cooked in coconut milk), Roti Jala (Malaysian pancake which looks like a net) with curry, chik-kut-teh (chicken cooked in chinese herbal broth), fruit rojak (Malaysian fruit salad), mihun goreng (fried rice vermicelli), vegetable curry, banana fritters (pisang goreng or goreng pisang?), red bean soup (it’s a dessert, not a starter!), limau ais(lime juice), sirap bandung (rose syrup with milk) AND a mysterious dish from a mysterious stall, you can be sure that your ticket is worth every penny! Simple arithmetic can tell you that, no? Good job to those who are wise enough to snap up your tickets. For those who haven’t, not to fear! Yes we have received and duly read all your emails for the past few days and due to popular demand, we have decided to make lives a bit easier for you and not deprive many food-lovers out there of yummy Malaysian food! So please note the following :
– If you have signed up but unable to make payment because : you don’t have a chequebook, you did not set up internet banking, the internet was being a pain, you can’t find an envelope to put your cheque in for CUSU mail, you cannot be bothered to brave the cold weather just to put the cheque in our Treasurer, Aidan’s pigeonhole, OR for whatever reason at all, fret not! You are now able to pay at the door. So please bring exact change and rest assured that your ticket has been reserved for you! If you are however unable to come for some reason (which hopefully is not the case!), please drop Aidan an email at treasurer@cumas.org to notify us of this so that we can offer it to someone else.
-If you have not signed up and wishing you had done so earlier, you may now still sign up! Due to again, emails asking us about it, we have decided to offer extra tickets for this year’s MFF. So, now that you don’t have to worry about the possibility of delayed payment and thus not being able to obtain a ticket, simply click here (insert spreadsheet) to sign up and all you have to do is just turn up on Saturday, the 20th of November, with exact change. It’s as simple as that! But once these extra tickets are gone, they’re gone. So get clicking!
