4th March 2015
Dear all,
This is it! Our (CUMaS Committee 2014/15) very last CUMaSKini before the new committee is in charge! Don’t miss us too much and do expect your next CUMaSKini to be sent by keyboard warrior Sir Victor Teh!
Because this poem is written by Malaysia’s own Xu Zhimo, we think that it deserves to be highlighted again:
From the little snowfalls of winter,
To the wet and muddy days of spring.
From the Oxbridge win in Easter,
To the CNY Karaoke dance and sing..
Too many cups of coffee for all nighters,
And too little sleep to enjoy formal halls.
Too few weeks to finish example papers,
And not enough money to go for May balls.
Yang berminum kopi and co says farewell to all,
For your support and replies, through and through.
Till the next CUMaSKini, we may meet again,
But by then, it won’t be me serving you.
But the time we spent together,
The memories of food and laughter,
The joys of seeing each other,
Those are what we treasure!
Romantic poem credits goes to Fan Ray Aun

TRAILER:
“When everyone’s super… no one will be.”
– Syndro, The Incredibles
Behind the façade of a seemingly perfect life as a Cantabrigian, many people here hide a tumultuous internal life known to but a few. Set in present day Cambridge, ‘Effortless?’ seeks to explore the life of a young Malaysian living abroad for the first time in his life and attempts to portray the not uncommon set of challenges, both physical and psychological, faced by students in the land of towering intellectuals and daunting spires.
