Woohoo! It’s good to be back isn’t it? We’ve got tons of events for you to look forward to, so keep your eyes peeled and get excited! (We know you’re busy people with lectures to attend and supervisions to prepare for, so we’ll keep this one short!)

CUMaS Committee 2015/2016
1. Committee Changes
Our Ents Officer William Tai has recently decided to step down and after careful discussion amongst the committee members, we have decided to appoint Bryan Yong to take up the vacant position. The committee would like to thank William for his contributions and we wish him all the best.
2. Freshers’ Picnic
We will be holding a Freshers’ Picnic this Sunday, drop by and say hi if you’re free! Of course, refreshments will be provided (FREE FOOD) and if the weather permits, we might even get to play some games with the freshers!

3. Meet Shell’s Upstream Director
Shell has cordially invited us to attend a lecture by Andy Brown, their Upstream Director, followed by a drinks reception afterwards. This event will be held at St. Catharine’s College, and those interested in attending should RSVP by 9th October. Participants will also get to meet Upstream Business Advisor Yu Li Ping, who was a graduate hire, to find out about her journey in Shell. This event will certainly be useful to those who are interested in the industry.

4. Nottingham Games
Ever dream about representing Cambridge or Malaysia in sports? Why not both?!?! Join us as we travel to Nottingham University on the 7th of November to assert our dominance in every event, from football to Dota! 5. Malaysian Food Festival
The Malaysian Food Festival is back! This year, we will be holding it at St. Andrews Baptist Church on the 21st of November, more details to be released closer to the date! (Oooh, mysterious…)

6. ICMS Roadshow
The International Council of Malaysian Scholars and Associates (ICMS) are recruiting and will be having a session at Magdalene College on the 9th of October. This is an excellent opportunity to find out more about them and have your questions answered firsthand by some of the existing members.
